Will one man bands go away when things get better?
I have been talking about this with people in our newsroom. When the economy turns around will stations and ownership groups ditch the one man band and bring back the photographer/reporter team? I would have to say no. Once comapnies realize they can save money they will continue to have one man bands.. What do you think...Comment below??

I think it will eventually balance out. Once they realize its just smarter to have a few teams out in the field. Lets face it, partners are their for more than one reason. I figure safety is something the people in house forget about. Not to mention that once thieves see how small and convenient all the one man band toys are, they are more likely to take it from the one person that is busy crunching for a show that is all by his or her lonesome.
