I OMB some of my freelance work. Tough to spell out all the things you need to do this well in a few paragraphs. If I had to choose one thing I'd say think before you start shooting. Who are you going to talk to? What are you going to ask? What questions does your story need to answer? What shots do you need to get to illustrate the story? Doing essentially two jobs at once means you can't always devote enough time to both of them during the shoot. Thinking ahead can help.
